Info Post
i spent an absolutely lovely weekend with mikey. although we spend obscene amounts of time together, it had been awhile since we had gotten away and done what we do best: alone time.
So when my parents announced they were heading to Ottawa we took it as an opportunity to get out of Montreal for a day and drove up Saturday afternoon. My aunt and uncle cooked the most delicious dinner for us and fed us bottle after bottle of wine until we both gave up on keeping our secret buzzes secret anymore.
there's something kinda fun about getting drunk with your family, makes you feel like you aren't just one of the kids anymore...is that lame?

anyway, my parents and relatives all stayed true to their senior selves and started winding down around 10h30 pm, so mikey and I snatched up some tostitos and con queso salsa stuff and headed over to parliament hill to bond and take a look around. it turned out there were fire works and some crazy light show going on so it was pretty fun! we gawked at the insane size of the buildings, and imagined how amazing the palaces we're going to be visiting this fall in europe will be!

we took a bunch of really silly pics with our 5$ disposable camera and headed back to my aunts house and went to bed.

the next day my aunt took us out to the most delicious cafe for lunch and then on our way back to montreal we stumbled upon the St-Albert Curd Festival.
The name says it all pretty much, but for those of you who want a more detailed description it was a white tent with about 3 wobbly looking fair rides (merry go round, little ferris wheel and teacups...) a cotton candy stand (which we indulged in) and some man selling tickets to the "rodeo"....
Les Respectables were said to be playing that night, but we decided not to stick around...

we bought a whole bunch of delicious fresh curds and then sped to his mom's place in Vaudreuil for another delicious meal.

i dont know what it is about spontaneity that makes me so happy, but the greatest memories i have usually start with a random idea with no alterior planning involved...

now that all my impulsive urges have been satisfied for awhile, i am back to mundane monday morning activities, such as taking pictures of my newly acquired footwear!! and also of lola in her new pirate cap!
