I found these three gems on e-bay this evening with only 14 minutes to go in the auction and zero bids! I checked the measurements figuring it was too good to be true, and each and every single one of them was EXACTLY my size! I squealed as I placed my bid, imagining myself skipping about town in them this spring....but was stopped in my tracks when I found out that this seller doesn't ship to Canada. Now I extend the question to all you online sellers...what would make you not want to ship to places outside your country? If the buyer pays the shipping, and it takes the same amount of energy to run to the post office whether you're shipping to an address two streets down or across the ocean, what is it that makes some sellers reluctant to ship internationally?
I contacted her asking if she would be willing to make an exception (seeing as I was the only bidder anyway) but all she wrote back was "sorry"....
I'm no online expert, but it seems to me you can afford to write a little bit more than that to the only person who has even offered to buy these items from you!
Am I being dramatic? I guess I'm just disappointed that these perfectly fitted, perfectly priced, beautiful dresses won't be arriving at my doorstep afterall, and my aforementioned dreams of sporting them about town have been crushed!

In an attempt to console my sad sad soul, I browsed Modcloth for a little while, and found this gingham print, 50's inspired beauty...but I just don't feel the same about it...
sigh...

on another note, I realize I do way too much reminiscing about my trip to Paris last November, but today Mike's band is there exploring the city and the emails I've been receiving have made me incredibly nostalgic for the smell of fresh baked bread in the morning and that exhausted feeling I got at the end of a 12 hour day spent walking around the beautiful city!
