Annie Leibovitz: Life through a Lens.
Info Post
Finally a day off, or at least, a morning haha. So time for some blogging before I'm heading to FOAM again, who have some great exhibitions, movies to watch and all. Yesterday I've watched the docu of Annie Leibovitz, believe it's called Life through a Lens, which was so so goddamn great! The ambition and power this super talented lady has, and how she turned from popping in with a box of photos at Rolling Stone Magazine to be shooting all the rock stars, ending up doing shoots for celebs and Vanity Fair, Vogue, New York Times and many many more. I think she's one of the best photographers alive and I love her!
Some of hear quotes I wrote down:
'A magazine is like an empty canvas you have to fill with images'
'As long as I can move, I'm happy'
'A lot can happen in the inbetween moment'
Sometime she simply knows without knowing she knows. And that's, pure talent. I find her a great inspiration and I hope to work with her someday. She's over 50 already, so I'm not sure I'll be on the possition to work with her before she calls it a quit, but you never know. I've heard Inez van Lamsweerde knows who I am and sort of what I do. Plus took a photo of me during Paris Fashionweek, so you never know what will happen in the future. At least, both of these ladies are on my list. Duh! Haha.
Thank you Annie, x
