Info Post

'Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows your name. You wanna go where people know, people are all the same. You wanna go where everybody knows your name.' - Cheers Theme Song

As I'm working on a 20-page story on the Amsterdam Scene, I was thinking about hypes, about scenes in general and about certain moments from the last two years. People these days make a certain group or scene so much bigger than they truly are. The same is happening here in Amsterdam right now. Myself and my friends just got along in a very good way, started to dress up and for some reason we grab the attention of many people now.

It's even like, in a way, new people, who came into this group or scene or what you want to call it, are all about it. The pure-ness is losing and probably anytime soon, let's say by the end of the year, we're falling apart as it's time for the new generation.

Looking through my files and peeking the Misshapes Book, remembering my visit to NYC and whatever was going on. Knowing all the blogs from Cobrasnake and little miss Cory K, to the streetblogs and party ones such as DirtyDirtyDancing. I sort of start to believe that 2009 is more about individuality than any other year.

I feel this enormous change coming this way. Or maybe things I'm working on are going to pay-off. All I know is that we're all growing up a bit, and by that, most of the sparkles around us are falling apart. But then ofcourse, in every scene, it's not about being there, it's about sticking there and having people knowing you, still, quite some years later. Maybe it's just another level I'm working on now, who knows..
