Info Post
I'm anticipating the release of new book Dress Circle, an in-depth history of New Zealand fashion since the 1940s. Contemporary New Zealand fashion is obviously exciting - and thank goodness, because I have to write about it for my day job - but I'm fascinated by our fashionable past that often gets forgotten about in the hype of the new; all things that have helped shape our industry today. Like the publication of New Zealand Vogue, Gus Fisher's label El Jay, another label Babs Radon, the Gown of the Year awards, Cha Cha magazine, and much more. I've had a sneak peek at the book and I'm impressed, by the archival photos alone. It's being released at the end of the month.
