Ah! It is slightly painful to look at these sunny pics whilst I sit at my desk back in New York in anticipation for another snowpocolypse, but, I'll soldier on through and share them! Some of these photos were taken outside our adorable Punta Placer beach bungalow along with our former beach-cat friend.
Aside from a girl scout camping mission where my troop's Sandyhook campsite was taken over by raccoons, and more recently on Assateague Island where my boyfriend and I were sandblasted by heavy winds, (quite similarly to the method used to create weird, tired looking denim) I had never slept on the beach, or rather, in a quaint cone-shaped bungalow. The only thing alarming about this semi-outdoor slumber experience was that, due to the bungalow's cylindrical shape, the wind funnels round and in and out of the overhead bamboo stalks creating tornado-esque sound effects during nighttime sleep. If I remember correctly, it was was a bit terrifying to wake up in the wee hours thinking we were about to get plowed down by a freight train, however, it was equally as lovely to realize it was only a mix of light wind and fresh sea water waves breaking a mere 20 ft away.
