So, the Marc Jacobs show was yesterday or maybe even today Austalian time, and it was very interesting. There are certain designers who usually 'lead' trends and while lots of others are still playing with proportion, Jacobs appears to have 'pared' back this collection.
It really is very seventies, lots of hats and higher waistlines. Some ensembles reminded me of JLo (because of the hats) while others reminded me of the great Diane Keaton (with the suits and gloves and the awesome waistcoats).
Particularly, the outfit in the middle reminds of present day awards show Diane. I think it's the turtleneck. Some of the duchess satin dresses remind a little bit of last season Prada, but all in all, it could be said the change is in the air and Marc caught on quickly.
