Info Post

James Dean personified the phrase ‘live fast and die young’, as the role model for generations of alienated youth who related to him and his characters. He defined the essence of cool. His casual style is a look that is still emulated today. The basics that made him an icon are: Levi's Jeans, boots, white T-shirt, zip-up bomber jacket, and Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses. He only made three films in his short-lived career: East of Eden (1955), Rebel Without a Cause (1955), and Giant (1956). James Dean was killed in a highway accident on September 30, 1955, after crashing his Porsche Spyder on the way to a race meeting. He was only 24.

“An actor must interpret life and, in order to do so, must be willing to accept all the experiences life has to offer. In fact, he must seek out more of life than life puts at his feet. In the short span of his lifetime, an actor must learn all there is to know, experience all there is to experience, or approach that state as closely as possible.”

Someone left me a comment asking if I could do a post on James Dean...I do take requests. I had planned on doing a post on James Dean for a while but I never got around to it.
