She has been featured in many of my posts throughout the years, but I have never had one specifically dedicated to her.
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was the personification of style. Jackie always knew what worked best for her, which is why she managed to look fabulous in every decade. She was not intimidated into wearing what others were wearing, and never strayed too far from her favorite classic fashion basics which were: shift and A-line dresses, Chanel jackets, smart tailored suits, solid colors, pearls, and low-heeled pumps. For casual daywear, she favored high-waist trousers paired with a blouse, turtleneck or cashmere sweater. Jackie always completed her daywear with her famous black, oversized sunglasses. She demonstrated less is more with her clothing, and even when she wore the most expensive European designs, she managed to look effortless, modern, and undeniably American.
