When Aya from Strawberry Koi commented on my blog to say she lived just outside of Chicago, I obviously jumped on the chance for a meetup! I wasn't sure it would happen because she lives a couple of hours outside of the city and the whole thing was very last minute, but I'm so glad we did get the chance to meet!
I was so nervous I thought I might faint as I saw her drive up. All of the bloggers I've met are just so great at what they do and they all seem so lovely and fashionable and I was just so worried she would meet me and be bored or disappointed somehow, and she was driving from far so I really didn't want that to happen!
Well I'm pleased to report that I don't think it did! We spent the afternoon sipping icy drinks and walking around the Lincoln Park zoo looking at lions, tigers and Kangaroos (you all thought I was gonna say bears, but I didn't!)...Her precious little man Lucien was an absolute angel and Mike and I both fell in love with him! And her parents were the sweetest! Her mom took all the pictures that are on Aya's blog and they're perfect!
I'm so, so glad I got to meet so many of my favourite blogger friends, and it's really only made me wish I could meet so many more!
Aya was the absolute sweetest and I loved every second of our time spent together! It makes me so happy to realize that all these girls who I feel like I know through the online world are even better in person!!!
