Info Post
Northern Flora

Aside from that wonderful feeling I get when I finally come home from a long trip and my bed calls my name, and my dog licks my face, and the smell of home cooked food (that I don't have to pay for) fills the air, it's also extra exciting to come home to a huuuge box filled with treasures hand picked for me by Brianne - a fellow vintage lover and blogger!

The Swap pt. 1

There are too many goodies in this box and each one of them is so special I didn't really feel it was fair to the items to all be bunched together into one blog post, so I've decided to assign them their own little mini series. Once a week I will wear or feature one of the items that was in that magical package, and I can promise you there was enough in there to last several weeks!

creepy forest staircase

This week's series features this pretty little floral print blouse she sent me, which will be perfect for incorporating florals into my fall wear because it's just thick enough that paired with a little cardigan or a wool skirt it would keep that fall chilliness out! I'm picturing it paired with a little brown short sleeved cardigan....or maybe - if I can find them - the perfect pair of brown trousers!
That necklace you see was a Brianne creation and man oh man is she good! She took an old beaten up falling apart watch with nothing but the insides left, added a chain and a bow and it's my favourite necklace ever! Her etsy shop is closed right now, but I'm hoping she'll re-open again soon so that I can get myself more of these magical creations of hers!!!!! In the mean time, follow her blog - she's got an eye for the quirkiest little antique and vintage items!!!

Mont Sainte Hilaire

I had never done a swap before and it was so much fun I want to do one every week! And the best part is, picking the stuff out for the other person - while incredibly nerve racking - was just as much fun as sitting on my living room floor surrounded by news paper stuffing and bubble wrap cooing over every new item I pulled out! Christmas in August is what it really felt like!!!!

Back together Again!
