Info Post

One of the best ways to save money is to not spend money. Instead of buying loads of clothes, you respect and appreciate the ones you have. I'm almost always wearing something inherited because it gives me a certain feeling of belonging to my own family history. I've inherited so much from my mother, aunts, grandmothers, cousins, my boyfriend's mother and my sister. These clothes are special to me because I know their background. But if you don't have a lot of relatives, or they haven't saved their old clothes, another good idea is to never shop in your own town. Always buy new items when you're away on trips or vacations. That way you're always wearing a piece of memory from that special occasion. Wearing gifts is also a great reminder of not only the great friend who gave you the gift, but also a reminder that you're loved and appreciated by others.

Hat: Bought many years ago in the states
Shirt: Borrowed from sister
Skirt: Inherited from boyfriend's mother
Bag: Bought many years ago in Japan
Shoes: Gift from my father

However, if you do want to go out shopping for no reason other than your own will, try to find items that are being sold with their stories. Vintage clothes hold stories about their mysterious former owners, and more exclusive designer clothes tells something about our present time, and you might know something about the designer's visions for creating the clothes which gives them a whole new personal value.
