Hermione Flynn is a young designer based in Wellington, with a background in performance art. Her winter collection is based around the idea of modern rituals, or ceremonial dress - in today's urban world, most often the work-suit (there's a gold short suit that I like the look of!). I also like her explanation of the inspiration behind her work: "Inspired by the relevance of clothing in a social context, Hermione Flynn creates her collections from social oddities - a gentleman on the bus wearing a waistcoat and tie over his rain jacket, an obese woman dressed in head to toe sportswear, a gay man designing his wedding dress."
