Info Post

Shoes of the Sixties: When the miniskirt was invented, it gave women so much freedom of movement that they felt released from the body language of an adult maturity and rigidness. A liberation that was expressed with gawky poses and child-like styles. Feet were now comfortably placed in flat shoes with round toes, with room to wriggle instead of teetering stilettos. Key looks of the decade: Dance Shoes, Mary Janes, Stack and Block Heels, Kitten Heels, Pointed Flats, Decorative Sandals, Cuissarde Boots, and PVC .
