50's and 80's

I'm back from a lovely couple of days in England. See the picture blog for pictures.

Anyway, I'm back home now and instead of cleaning up my messy home, I've decided to blog a little.

I've been mixing a lot of different styles lately, but my basic theme has been 50's fashion combined with 80's fashion. These two styles are very different but have a lot in common. Things such as clean siluettes and oversized gender-symbols can be found in the 50's as well as in the 80's. Also, huge pants, high waists and big coats worked in both eras. Here's my example of mixing the two eras. The clothes are either from the 80's or have something 80's about them, but I've tried to mix them in a way so that the look gets a 50's vibe.
