The other day Chriz mentioned he wanted to see this documentary about Arthur Russell. My first reaction was, who? But after a small something about the docu and a googleminute away, I was very much up for it.
At Smart Project Space here in Amsterdam, the most beautiful cinemathingy I've ever been to, truly a mustgoseethingy.. Anyway! Besides the very fun evening, the docu was pretty good. However, I'm sure Chriz and I saw the movie in a whole different way, as for me the docu was getting very personal, I even send out some tears.. What a crazy world, what a gorgeous documentary.
I bet for people who know him, or his work, it could be better, more to hear, more to see, less talk, just maybe. But for me it was truly refreshing to see this guy being way over, beyond, being in love with making music and sound. It was, pureness, the wrong time, but stunning.
