Info Post
The upcoming festive season has got to be my absolute favourite time of year. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for cheesy, romantic cliches, or maybe it's because people really are more cheerful around the holidays.
All I know is when people tell me they hate Christmas I can't help but attempt to sway their opinion with cookies, Christmas specials and hot chocolate in a Santa mug.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not immune to the stress of packed parking lots, over crowded stores, not knowing what to buy people and not having enough money to buy the perfect gift idea you come up with. I just get so caught up with how pretty Christmas lights look on snow and how heart warming Christmas music can be that I float above all that stuff and manage not to think about it more than I should.

I think the greatest part about Christmas has to be the way people let go of their fear of being sentimental. Some of my favourite movies have sprung from this cheese-allowance and I for one can't wait to curl up in my parents basement with popcorn and hot wine to watch Christmas specials along the lines of It's a Wonderful Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Frosty the Snowman & The Bishop's Wife.

There's nothing quite like a happy ending, and that is exactly what Christmas specials do best!
So bring on the fluffy white stuff, I've got wool socks, knitted tuques, mittens on strings and a box of hot chocolate mix ready and waiting to warm me up after a day of picking out Christmas trees with Stef, Taylor and Mike!

Bing Crosby had it right all along. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
