Tim Walker is probably my favourite fashion photographer, with his whimsical fairytale aesthetic. His photos remind of Enid Blyton and her Magic Faraway Tree; always with a sense of storybook fantasy and childlike imagination. So needless to say, I was very happy to find that Walker photographed M.A.C's latest campaign for their new collection A Tartan Tale - think flushed cheeks, porcelain skin and punkish lips (and very cute tartan textured compacts). These photos are part of a M.A.C 'storybook' which tells the tale of the fair Myfanwy, "a fairy fated to live her life as a laundress after being pricked as a child, by the poisoned quill of a hedgehog she'd received as a gift" (don't worry, like all fairytales, there's a happily ever after ending). Aren't they lovely?
