Info Post
I started this post listing all the things I hate about Mondays, untill the lovely Candace of My Fair Lady told me she had given me an award!
This little reminder of why I love the "blogging world" so much, helped me to peel myself off of the couch and got my brain working a little by asking me to write 10 random things about myself....

here it goes:

1. I hate technology. Although I rely on it heavily, the sound of computers, televisions or any other noisy machinery working drives me up the wall!

2. I wish I knew how to play an instrument, but I don't have the patience to learn!

3. When I'm alone in the car, or at home sometimes I pretend I'm in an old Southern civil war movie like Gone With the Wind. I curtsy and speak to imaginary gentlemen like Clark Gable...

4. I have a love hate relationship with Canada (geographically speaking). Although I love most things about the country I live in, it doesn't have much variety to offer climate wise and that makes me hate it a little bit. I'd like more than anything to ditch these insane winters for a warm and sunny place, but in order to do that I'd have to put hundreds of miles between my family and I, which is something I'm just not prepared to do.

5. I love country music! From Don Henley and the Eagles to Kris Kristofferson & Johnny Cash, even through to Dolly, Loretta, Emmylou and Reba (and especially Patsy!!) There's just something about their crackly, whiny voices that strikes a chord in me!

6. I'm terrible at following through on things. I'm the worst at doing what I say I'm going to do! I am incredibly impulsive and do things on a whim. It's backfired a few times on me already!

7. I was born in the wrong era. I feel nostalgic for decades I never even lived in! I long for days when men wore three piece suits with a watch fob and took girls out dancing. I know I have a completely romanticized view of the past, but I sometimes feel as though I was meant to have lived in a time when having 10 babies and raising them on a farm with your husband was normal!

8. I did ballet from the age of 5 to about 18, but never had the discipline to practice enough to get good. I secretly regret not having worked harder at it every time I go see a ballet!

9. I like to quote movies, but most people don't know what I'm quoting! As kids, my sister and I made a habit of quoting Disney films in every day life. That habit followed me into adulthood, except now when I quote them nobody seems to know what I'm talking about! (except my sister of course)

10. I love the smell of indoor pools. It reminds me of vacations with my family when I was younger; we always stayed in Hampton or comfort inns that had pools and it was always my favorite part of the trip when we got to go swimming!

Now I have to list 10 blogs I think are fabulousand let them know they've received the award too!
I choose:

1. Kind of Pointless
(my roommate, best friend of 10 years and one of the funniest people i know!)
2. Only Shallow
(for the most inspiring fashion inspiration, and a link to a fantastic Etsy store!)
3. La Petite Coiffeur
(for it's pretty images and words)
4. Copperseal
(she's a creative inspiration all the time!)
5. The Clothes Horse
(she puts together the most wonderful posts and outfits!)
6. Silent Sundays
(Rhiannon's Tumblr account which has just as many, if not more beautiful images as her blogger)
7. I Fell in Love with the World Around me
(Another Montrealer's Tumblr account, who finds the most beautiful quotes and images!)
8. Advanced Style
(street style dedicated to the senior citizens of the world. providing hours of inspiration for me!)
9. Les Aventures de Christina
(more Montreal fashion inspiration)
10. Hold Tight
(Another Montrealer, and another inspiration, as well as an entertaining read!)

Any of these bloggers who choose to accept this award are supposed to post it on their blog and list 10 random facts about themselves and tag 10 more bloggers of their choice, not forgetting to name the blogger who gave them the award in the first place (me!)...
