Info Post
Everything about this weekend felt like a mini vacation. First, we rented a room at the hotel i work at for my sisters birthday and had a perfectly proper girls night which involved talks about shoes, celebrity crushes, shopping, favourite drinks, tea and coffee as well as a good, healthy amount of dancing.
My sister, the Birthday girl!

The next night was my Mom's birthday and my whole family met up at Alpenhaus, where I indulged in a Swissh cheese fondue, veal in mushroom sauce with egg noodles, saurkraut, chocolate fondue, peaches flambee and a bottle of white wine (not all to myself obviously).

I rolled home feeling pregnant, but so satisfied and ready to recommend the place to anyone who asks! The atmosphere was wonderful, a swiss mountain chalet type of decor with an old man on a piano playing old Charles Aznavour classics and Edelweiss while the fire warmed us up!
When Mike and I got back to my parents house after dinner, my dad put on a movie he was sure I would love. And he was right!

Avenue Montaigne takes place on a ritsy boulevard in Paris and tells a few stories, all focused around this young girl who works in a cafe...As if I needed a reminder of why I miss Paris so much!
Now I'm determined to go back, maybe next year, and hopefully see some of Germany or Austria around the same time.
