Songs I had forgotten about started to get stuck in my head, memories I had stored far far away in the little filing cabinet in my brain began resurfacing and I suddenly was overcome with a feeling of nostalgia for those early summer morning walks to work, and the late night bike rides across the city to Kristina's house...
It's strange how a song you haven't heard in a while, or a smell you haven't smelled in a long time can bring back things you thought were long forgotten!
Mind you, some things about last Spring and Summer are things I was glad to forget...other things are things I miss so much right now!
I looked around in my picture folders to try and find some photos to post, but realized I didn't do much documenting of my spring and summer activities last year...except for a whole bunch from my trip to NYC with Mike, and our anniversary camping trip, which you have all seen in all of my "ode to Mike Niro" posts...
So I dug around in my old tagged photos on facebook to try and figure out just what it is I was up to this time last year....
here is what I came across....
This last one is actually from the summer before last, but i just can't believe how different my hair was!!!!
On another, not entirely unrelated note, I was looking through old blog posts during my quest to turn up old soils, and realized that I have already been posting for over a year! I had great expectations of posting some kind of celebratory one year anniversary blog post...but I missed it entirely! It was in January!! So this nostalgic post will have to serve as my anniversary post as well!
