So today was my first day back in a classroom in two years, and it felt great!
My morning class (British Literature up to 1660) sounds like so much fun and the teacher is great!
We'll be studying all kinds of romantic poems and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales which I'm very excited about!
My afternoon class was a little trickier (Contemporary Literature by Women) The course content sounds incredibly interesting but 12 page research essays and 6 novels in 13 weeks on top of the rest of my courses is intimidating to say the least. And the heated political debate within the first hour of the course also made me wanna look into some other class options!
We'll see, maybe I can get into a good American Lit class and study Fitzgerald or something!
Tomorrow morning is American History 1887 onward and I'm pretty excited about that!
This return to my studies has motivated me in more ways than one! On my way home I picked up some healthy groceries that are great for lunches, which will help me eat healthier and save money! I also walked by the Concordia Gym today and have made the decision to join it immediately!
Last but not least, I have organized my schedule in such a way that I get to spend so much quality time with my pooch and make sure she has the best life possible! (She is currently curled up in the cutest little ball on the pillow by my feet!)
All in all 2009 is shaping up to be one of my most wonderful and grown up years to date! At least, if the first week is any indication!
Does anyone have any suggestions of interesting topics to study within the english and history departments?
